Sarah moved to Portland from Memphis, Tennessee specifically to join the PNTB family. Before transitioning into the Organ Donation Coordinator role, she worked as a critical care nurse in a Cardiovascular ICU. She had a personal experience with organ donation when a friend in college died suddenly and saved seven lives through organ donation. “Working as a critical care nurse allowed me the opportunity to work with donor families and I quickly realized how passionate I was about organ donation and that I wanted to be more directly involved in a hands-on way.” Sarah jumped at the chance to move across the country to join PNTB and is so proud to be working in a field that touches so many lives. Sarah and her husband are incredibly happy to be living in the Pacific Northwest, and when she’s not working you can find her at the dog park, hiking, or relaxing at home with a good book or some bad reality television.
