Lauren Fiester
Organ Procurement Coordinator
Lauren joined PNTB in July 2009 after working in critical care in Chicago. She moved to Portland specifically to work as an organ procurement coordinator. Her ICU experience exposed her to many families facing the tragic loss of a loved one. As an OPC, she can offer these families something positive, the opportunity for organ donation. “This coupled with the fact that organ recipients are given a second chance at life leads me to feel very fulfilled in this position.” In her free time, Lauren enjoys hiking, snowboarding, and reading.
When it comes to waiting in line for an organ transplant, we are all created equal. Wealthy or famous individuals cannot and do not get bumped up higher on the national transplant waiting list.
