Who We Are

Pacific Northwest Transplant Bank (PNTB) is the federally designated non-profit organ procurement organization serving Oregon, southern Washington and western Idaho. Founded in 1987 with fewer than 10 employees, PNTB has more than doubled in size and now has offices in both Portland, OR and Boise, ID. Despite the many changes at PNTB over the years, the mission has remained resolutely unchanged: To save and enhance lives through organ donation.

PNTB’s mission is honored daily by a team of clinical organ procurement coordinators, hospital services coordinators, family resource coordinators, administrative staff and medical directors. Click the link to the left to meet our team.

An OPO is a member in the United Network for Organ Sharing (UNOS). UNOS maintains the confidential national waitlist and facilitates the process to match donors with recipients.
